On October 20th a total of 14 Managers and Officials from Valeview Shankill Schooboys Football Club participated in the Irish Heart Foundation's (IHF) Heartsaver AED course in the National Rehabilitation Hospital. All were trained in the lifesaving skills of CPR and in the use of a Defibrillator under the supervision of two Irish Heart Foundation instructors.

Life threatening incidents in sport are rare, thankfully, however the club demonstrated its commitment to the health, safety & welfare of its members by purchasing a defibrillator in the Summer. All participants successfully completed the course and have received their certificates from the IHF which are valid for two years.
