Davy, Dean, Cian, Thomas, Nathan, Conor D,Kevin and Ben met up with Dave & Mark at Shankill dart station at 9.45 and made there way into the Aviva Stadium.
After checking in at the reception in the Aviva our tour guide Liam brought us to the road inside the stadium that brings the players bus and the presidential car to there respective entrances.
We then took a trip to the impresive press room where all press conferences are carried out within the stadium. In the press room Liam showed us a video which included the demolition of the old Landsdowne Road Stadium and the building of the new Aviva stadium. The video also including some fantastic clips of the the Irish Rugby and Football teams in action.
After the visit to the press room we were then showed into the away dressing room as the home dressing room was unavailable on the day. The dressing rooms were fantastic with state of the art facilities which included an astro turf pitch just off the dressing room.
On we went to the medical room which has all the facilities to look after our injured football and rugby players.
Then came the highlight of the day for our players as they went pitch side to view the stadium from a position they all want to be in the future. The view of the stadium from here is magnificent and the guys posed for pictures on the Irish bench and inside the tunnel.
We then went to the highest part of the stadium and sat there for more pictures and to take in the view of this amazing stadium. Liam the tour guide answered any questions the team had to ask him including do you get paid much for doing this.
Overall we had a great day and everyone on the tour was so impressed with the Aviva Stadium. The next trip there we hope to take in a match to really feel the atmosphere that no doubt this Stadium will Deliver.
