Meet the teams Under 12 Div 1

Small-sided game-1

Centre circle game

The main theme of this session is about
passing and controlling the ball to make the most of your team’s possession, whether you are trying to control a high ball or pass past the last line of defence to a lone attacker. This game will help you get your coaching point across that accurate passing
is an important part of any moves in soccer.

Set up

This game is played in a large centre circle.
Two teams of four players.
Two mini target goals, one at each end of the centre circle.
Each team has two players on the pitch and two players on the outside (in the attacking half).
The players on the outside can move up and down their side and look to receive a pass.

Rules

The team in possession must attempt to score in their opponents’ mini goal.
They can use their team mates outside the circle to help build a passing move.
The outside players are only allowed to use one touch.
The game is played for four periods of two minutes.
After each period, the players on the pitch reverse roles with their team mates on the outside.
